MAC has recently teamed up with New York fashion designer, widely known for his red carpet worthy evening gowns. The new collection was released late last week and includes: – Eye Z You (a six-shade eye shadow palette) – Zoom Lash Mascara (a three-sided fiber brush mascara) – Fluidline Pen (MAC’s Fluidline eye liner in pen form) – Three Lipsticks in Sheer Madness Darling Clementine Dangerously Red – Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder – Haute Contour (a dual colored powder blush) – A buffer brush – A large angled contour brush Each item comes in a matte blackish/greenish container with the MAC logo and designer’s name embossed in gold. Very classy-which means I like. П™‚ The item I picked up is the lipstick in ($18). It really is a sheer lipstick that provides the nicest hint of shimmer on the lips. I opted for the one that I could see myself using on a daily basis.

It’s hard to capture the true color and the sheen of this one on camera. Its practically invisible on my arm. In some stock photos it appears more peachy and in my photos it almost looks like it has a hint of pink. On the lips however, its sheer, applies really smooth and provides only a hint of shimmer, unlike a gloss. I enjoyed pairing this over some of my more colorful lipsticks to add some more glow.

Overall I give the MAC/Zac Posen lipstick in Sheer Madness a thumbs up and can see myself reaching for this one regularly. Have any of you checked out the collection or made a purchase? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

The packaging, the shades and the product choices are all excellent and I have a new favourite lipstick that I am completely obsessed with.
