I've got an IBM ThinkPad R52 (mine is model 1858-A19) and yes, I initially had issues with Windows 7 drivers. However, from memory, most of the Windows Vista drivers will work perfectly well with Windows 7. Some things to note (again, this is from memory): • The graphics driver will only give you your regular graphics (Intel 915GM) – so no 'Aero' graphics. --> If you have the R52 with the ATI graphics chipset, then your results will differ. • The wireless NIC driver (if you have the Intel 2915ABG card) doesn't like being turned off and on (Fn+F5) – if the wireless card won't start after turning it off, for some reason the only way I can get it back on is to re-run the driver installer.
